We invite you to a guest lecture by Dr. Anna Markiewicz entitled The Influence of Clogging on the Filtration Properties of Geotextiles, which will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:30 in the meeting room on the 5th floor at ZAG.

Dr. Anna Markiewicz is an assistant professor at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in the Institute of Civil Engineering. She also serves as the President of the Polish Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society. Her scientific work focuses on research related to the application of geosynthetics in engineering structures.

Her lecture, titled “The Influence of Clogging on the Filtration Properties of Geotextiles” will address the behavior of geosynthetics in contact with soil. The presentation will cover the basic types of geosynthetics and their functions, with particular emphasis on their filtration function. It will also discuss the selection criteria for geosynthetics used as filter layers in drainage systems. The lecture will include research findings conducted in this field.
