At a time when many European cities face rising housing shortages and affordability challenges, there is increasing interest in how the existing building stock can be used more efficiently. At the same time, construction and renovation remain highly resource- and carbon-intensive, highlighting the need for approaches that prioritise better use of existing buildings by renovating, adapting and repurposing vacant and under- used buildings into affordable housing.
Join us for this webinar exploring how practical initiatives and mobilising investment can support a more sustainable and socially responsive use of Europe’s buildings.
This satellite event of the Festival of the New European Bauhaus will bring together experts from the European Commission, researchers and practitioners working on policies and initiatives that promote better use of existing buildings.
