The 2024 Future Cities—Africa Green Building Summit is taking place in Lagos, Nigeria, from today through to the end of Friday this week, 19 July.
Green Building Council Nigeria is hosting the event, which will bring together our Africa Regional Network (ARN) of Green Building Councils (GBCs).

Cities in Africa are expanding rapidly but face barriers from resource constraints, alongside socio-economic and governance challenges. This event will engage stakeholders across the African continent with the Africa Manifesto for Sustainable Cities and the Built Environment.

The Africa manifesto developed by our ARN GBCs champions the needs of rapidly growing cities on the continent.

The event’s theme is ‘Building Resilient Futures: Integrating Carbon Neutrality, Circular Economy & Inclusive Urban Development’, inspired by our Global Policy Principles for a Sustainable Built Environment.
